SCIENCE DAY CELEBRATION -2023 As the community living camp of year was scheduled between 27 /2/23 to 3/2/23 the science day celebration of 2023 was conducted on 23/2/23 . The program began with welcome speech by the college union chairperson.  Dr. Rani ma'am our principal inaugurated the function by lighting the lamp. Manju ma'am and Asha ma'am delivered felicitation and they highlighted the importance of science day through their talk.  After the official meeting various programs were presented by science club members and first year physical and natural science students. The program includes a presentation about the history of science day, a game section and a talk on nobel prize in science.  The centre of attraction of the program was presentation of a short film which was scripted as part of Darwin day celebration. WEEKLY REFLECTION - WEEK 10 The last week (13/2/23 -15/2/23) of teaching practice was memorable. Lots of lessons , memories, experiences and duties we have learned through our first phase of teaching practice.  On 13/2/23 the day began with a morning assembly conducted by 6 A students. Even though there was only 9 students in the class they participated well in the assembly. Headmistress thanked and appreciated  the students for their performance in annual day. In the second hour I taught the students of 9 A the portion of echo and it was the last lesson plan among my 40 lesson plans. I distributed the papers of achievement test and corrected their mistakes.In the third hour I taught the 8 B students the last portion of the chapter static electricity. In 8 A the exercise question of static electricity were discussed in the fourth hour.  On 14/2/23 I have distributed notes and extra questions were discussed in 8 A class  and 8 B class of the chapter water in the fifth...

CONSCIENTIZATION PROGRAMME REPORT On 12 th January 2023, we decided to conduct a conscientization programme on the topic 'AN AWARENESS PROGRAMME ON POLLUTION '. First we planned different activities that can be included in the conscientization programme. Then we assigned different duties among the group members.  At first we took the permission of the school head mistress Sheeba teacher. As per the permission from head mistress we choose VIII Afor conducting the programme.  The program was conducted between 3.30 pm to 4.00 pm. Before starting the session we arranged the classroom and made necessary requirements.  After making necessary setups, we called the students to the classroom.    The programme was started with a prayer song by VIII A students. WEEKLY REFLECTION - WEEK 9 The nineth week of teaching practice was another exciting week . We learned lots of lessons and had gone through new experiences. The school was busy in the entire week for the annual day programms conducted on 10/2/23. On 6/2/2023 as per timetable I got 3 periods. The chapter static electricity is completed in class 8 A. On that day i got substitution and i have utilised it for sociometry. And in the fifth hour I taught them them physics.  On 7/2/23 I conducted achievement test for the students of 9 A based on the chapter 'World of Carbon'. The questions were already prepared and verified by our optional teacher. And thus it was easy to conduct the test in class. Before conducting the test i informed Benz sir and asked  permission for the same. In the 5 th hour I conducted a speech competition on the topic ' study habits'. The week (30/1/23- 3/2/23) was peaceful. As we are moving towards the end of our teaching practice we were busy in this week.  On Monday (30/1/23) there was an assembly session in the morning conducted by 6 B students.On Monday I got 3 substitution periods in addition to the 2 periods as per timetable. Many portions and lesson plans were covered on Monday through the extra periods I got. During the lunch break time i conducted small group teaching for selected students based on the diagnostic test conducted in the previous week.  On 31/1/23 Tuesday I got one substitute period in addition to the normal periods. In the morning itself Benz sir signed our lesson record and suggested some corrections.  On 1/2/23 i got one substitution in addition to regular period it was on 8 B and 9 A. YOGA (2/2/2023)  As part of our teaching practice we  student teachers of RV training college conducted yoga class for students of St. Johns VHSS ummanoor on 2/2/2023 Thursday.  The program was conducted for 8 A students. Through the presentation shown with the help of projector, we described various asanas. Later we described and showed steps to do those postures.  Before starting the session we have given them a warm up session  and also placed them in semicircles.  We concluded the session by explaining benefits of yoga and sun salutation and the need for practicing it.
