COMMUNITY LIVING CAMP 

         KABANA  2K23

The community living camp of Ramavilasom training college was conducted between 27/2/23 to 3/3/23.

DAY 1( 27/2/23) 

The community living camp of 2023 was inaugurated by Sri. Suresh kumar sir, Principal of RVVHSS Valakom. 

The first session of the camp was a talk on sustainable teaching by Smt. Rosamma Philip, principal of Mount Tabor Training College, Pathanapuram. It was a wonderful session describing about various aspects of teaching. 

After the lunch break there was presentation of folk songs by Rahul Gandhi (Research scholar) and team. Rather than a mere presentation the session was very much informative .

 The programme entitled 'pattuvazhy' . He described the history of folk songs , it's diversities and various instruments used in the presentation. We enjoyed the session by participating in it. By 4 pm the session was ended. 

In the evening we were busy in our duties. I was part of group 3 was busy in practicing cultural programms Group 1 were busy in preparing food for the dinner. By 7.30 we had our dinner and by 8 pm we presented cultural events. After the program there was a Moot Court session for reflection. By 10 pm we concluded the daily activities. And after all the programme we group 3 members prepared news paper of the day by including the important details of the day

DAY- 2 ( 28/2/2023) 

The second day of our camp was a field visit to Kuriyottumala farm and Gadhibhavan.We were alloted kitchen duty for the day and we tried to find for distributing breakfast before leaving the campus for the visit. We left the college by 8.30 am. Our first destination was Kuriyottumala farm .

The farm is a nice place to visit to get knowledge about various breeds and living habits of domestic animals. The climate was quite disturbing because of the heat rays of sun. Even though the climate was challenging we had a walk through the farm for better experience. 

By 11 pm we reached Gadhibhavan and visited the place. It was heart touching and painful to believe the hard realities of life. 

The prayer function of the day was inaugurated by our principal Rani ma'am and she delivered her gratitude for the creators of that shelter for being life for many. 

They delivered a photo frame as a token of love. We had our lunch from there and left the place by 3.25 and reached the college by 4 . We group 3 members  were busy in the evening for preparing dinner for the day. We tried our best to prepare the best . Our menu was rice gruel and  Green gram thoran. After the dinner the cultural programms were presented by group 2.

After the moot court the programms ended by 10 pm. 

DAY -3 (1/3/2023) 

The third day of camp was filled with resource talk. The first session of the day was by Sri. Saroj kumar, Asst professor of Krishi vigyan kedra sadhananthapuram. He delivered his ideas on the topic green growth. In his session he discussed about organic farming and various crop production technique . The session welcomed pupil participation and hence the session was interesting. 

The after noon session was by Sri. Sasikumar sir, District joint secretary of saste sahithya parishath. He delivered his ideas on ' Education and sustainable development'. The session was higly subjective . The program ended by 4.15 pm. 

In the evening we group 3 were busy in cleaning duties. The food was prepared by group 2 . The most awaited moment of the camp was camp fire conducted on the day. The cultural events on  the day was conducted in the open air. Most of the students enjoyed the camp fire moments. 

DAY-4 (2/3/2023)

The fourth day of our camp was field trip to Wonderla. We left the college campus by 4.30 pm . We had our breakfast on the way to wonderla from cherthala. We reached our destination by 10.30.From 11 am to 6 pm we, enjoyed our moments in wonderla by entering in various land rides and water rides. We had our lunch from wood house restaurant inside the water theme park. The climate was very much disturbing and the walk in through the park without sandals was quite challenging. We had our dinner while on the way to college and we reached the college by 12.45 pm with lots of memories. 

Day -5  (3/3/2023) 

The last day of our camp started with resource talk of Sri. Balakrishna kurup sir. He is our yoga trainer and physical education teacher. He delivered a talk on first aids. He demonstrated the artificial respiration methods and  early treatments that we can practice while entering in such a situation. Very much informative and useful was the session.

 By 12 pm the Validitory function of the camp started. Smt. K R Geetha teacher, headmistress of RVVHSS valakom inaugurated the function.

 During the function we honoured the  teachers of RV school whom are having their retirement in this academic year. Smt. Geetha KR teacher, Smt. Girija Devi teacher and Sri. Ganesh sir were honoured in the function. Smt.Cini teacher, principal of RVTTI delivered the felicitation.

 After the official programme we had our lunch and by 2 pm we assembled for the reflection. Group leaders and some random members delivered their reflection. After the students reflection Rani ma'am included the points which are missing out in our observation. After the session we students togetherly participated in the campus cleaning activities and left the college campus by 4 pm.
