Weekly Reflection 
WEEK -5

The fifth week of teaching practice gave us  a lot  experiences within the classroom. We became more interactive with the students. This week we were more scheduled with learning materials and also managing the classrooms. 
On 9/1/23 there was an assembly session in the morning by 9.45 am and was conducted by 8B students. On that day in addition normal periods I got one substitution period. In second hour I taught the introductory portion of wavemotion to 9 A students. Benz sir observed the class in the whole period. In the fourth peri I taught static electricity to 8 A students After the lunch break I got substitution period in 8  A and I  have utilised the time for discussing the chapter ' Water '. 
On 10/1/23 i have only one period on 8 A and i have spent some time for asking questions regarding the previous lessons. Most of the students answered correctly. In the 6 th hour I got substitution on class 5 B. I and my colleague Anjana engaged the students by conducting some games. 
On 11/1/23 as per timetable I have only one period on 8 B. I have prepared slides and video for the class. The students were much attentive in class than earlier. During afternoon there was a PTA meeting conducted in school. Parent of one student from 8 B consulted us to enquire about his progress in learning. It was a new experience for us
On 12/1/23  I have two periods fourth hour in 9B and 5 th hour in 9 A. I tought both the classes the portion of carbon dioxide from the chapter ' World of Carbon'. Benz sir visited my 9 th A class and observed till the end. After the class he has spent his valuable time for pointing my mistakes in class. In the evening session we student teachers from RV training college has conducted Conscientisation program. The first group discussed the topic 'Waste management' and second group 'Pollution'. I were in second group. Our group comprises of three, Sanjana from English optional Anjana from physical science and myself. We conducted the program on 8 th A from 3 to 4 . Most of the students participated in the discussion by sharing their views. 
On 13/1/23 most of the teachers and students were absent because of the tour program. The tour was to Athirapalli and Silver storm. In the morning itself the team of teachers and students went to Athirapalli. Only some students of 9 A and a girl from 8 B were present on school. Teachers assigned us duty to monitor those students. As the teachers were absent we helped the staffs jn distributing food.

Week 3( 19/6/23-22/6/23)   Another exciting week with rich experiences. The reading day and international Yoga day celebrations were part of this week.  There was a morning assembly on 19/6/2023 which lasted till 10.20 am as part of reading day celebrations. The program includes speech, song, biography presentation, book introduction etc. Shibu sir and Kala ma'am addressed the crowd and delivered speech on the importance of the day. Also the new strategy ' My birthday my book', releasing of magazine of 10 B students 'Inspira' were introduced in the program As other days tuesday was normal day . Even though i don't have period as per timetable I got substitutions.  On 21 /6/2023 the international Yoga day was well celebrated in the school under the guidance of school principal Suresh sir. WEEKLY REFLECTION -WEEK 7

Week 7 (19/7/23-22/7/23 )  The week was peaceful. From 20/7/2023 unit test started. The unit test is conducted as two shifts. Morning session starts from 9 . 15 to 10 and evening session from 3.15 to 4.We were assigned exam duty in both the sessions.  On 21/7/23 we along with Aruna ma'am and Sunil sir conducted quiz as part of the chandrayan Day  celebrations. Akshay from 8 th B scored first in the quiz.   In order to compensate the working days saturday was working in this week. By this week I have completed 27 lesson plans. Also I have conducted a the pre test in 9 th A as part of my project work on 22/7/23.And the data collection was done.  During the free time i have prepared module for conducting an awareness program in the upcoming week.

CAPACITY BUILDING PROGRAMME

Capacity building programme Capacity building programme is a process of developing and strengthening the skill and attitude. The training of teachers one of the pillars of the sustainable development and national capacity building or any society. The programme of capacity building helps to increase the confidence level and it helps to increase the co operation and interaction among the peers.  One day workshop on 'Stress management' organized by department of general education conducted by Sri. Bhrahma Nayakom Mahadevan was our capacity building programme. It was conducted on 7/11/2022 from 2 pm to 4.30 pm.  The session was very interactive and he conducted some interesting activities, it engaged all the students.
